Hi there, I'm not actually a dog owner (yet?) but I was wondering if any has ever heard of/attempted to train their dog to use the toilet, as in the porcelain flushing toilet we humans are so fond of. I know cats can be trained to do so.

I feel so bad for poor Lowla, her mange seems to be getting worse instead of better. They gave her two more vaccines when I took her in to be diagnosed for the mange and I think those are making it even harder for her immune system to respond and fight off the mites. I think I'm going to switch her food too, even though the stuff I'm feeding her isn't awful, there are better things out there. I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried this mange cure?

It seems promising, I feel bad because I gave her chemicals for the fleas (Advantage, it's working great, she has almost no fleas now) and she got the vaccines and now this goopy stuff for her mange. And now that her mange is spreading, I'm really worried. Should I try this solution or just wait it out? She seems happy and healthy otherwise.

I talked to my groomer and of course I didn't write it down but there are drops out there that you can put in your dogs mouth or water for stress and it's suppose to calm them down. She actually used it on my little one the first time she did a full groom just to help her. It didn't put her out at all, it just helped to calm her down.

Anybody have thoughts or info on rotating dog foods. The person I buy my foods from (she sells better foods) rotates for her dogs every three months. I also just talked to another person who is going to do the same. It sounds like an interesting idea to me, as long as the foods are high quality, to balance whatever they could be lacking or getting too much of in one food. It also could prevent a problem if it turns out that something with the food later turned out to be not good or not balanced.
