Dog Food & Diet
Some people make their own
dog food or feed their dogs meals made from ingredients purchased in grocery or
health-food stores; many others rely on commercially manufactured dog food.
Right diet can keep your dog
fit and fine and their coats shiny and smooth. Healthy dogs are the pride of
their owners. Though, you may feed the dog most expensive of all dog foods, they
may still be deficient in nourishment or get obese and may need weight control.
Here are some things to keep in mind while feeding your dog:
Feeding on Milk?
Milk is neither a balanced
diet for dog nor it should be taken as a substitute for water. Over consumption
of milk may even cause diarrhea.
Raw
Eggs?
Consistent use of raw eggs
may cause dermatitis.
Eating
Raw Fish?
Raw fish may cause deficiency
of vitamin thiamine in dog's body resulting in loss of appetite, abnormal
posture, weakness, seizures and even death.
Table
Scrap
This should be as much as 10
percent of the canine's daily diet.
Bones?
Small soft bones may choke
the dog like a splinter.
Many world-famous
Doctors of Veterinary Medicine and published Dog Care Experts universally agree
any dog that eats commercial dog food is at a much higher risk of dying
prematurely and by the time symptoms are noticeable, it's often too late to
prevent an agonizing death except by lethal injection.
